Some worthwhile treasure can be found by using Pound and Lash in the Alhafran Cave.
The Alhafran Cave is an underground sublocation in the town of Alhafra, connected to both a guarded entrance underneath the mayor's manor and the back of the jail cell in Alhafra's jail. It can be accessed after the boss battle with Briggs early on in the game, by getting the Large Bread item from the Sailing Ship, giving it to a hungry boy at the main town area's right exit, and getting permission from the guard of the cave's entrance (the boy's father) to explore. At this point, you can only get three of the six chests here, but one of them is the very strong and useful Ixion Mail.
Later on, after Briggs escapes Alhafra with the Sailing Ship, the area can be accessed whether or not you had given the Large Bread to the boy earlier, and an earth pillar that previously blocked a blue ladder is now moved aside, allowing you to collect the other three chests of the cave in addition to the first three if you had not collected them before.

Power Bread: Go to the room south of the three chests that can be accessed later on after Briggs' jailbreak. Move the box out of the way and check one of the jars.
