All pieces of equipment that allow Adepts able to equip them to use in-battle commands from them. Each item does not actually have to be equipped by its valid Adept in order to have its Use effect usable; it just has to be in his or her inventory. Whenever a such item is Used, during battle or on the field depending on its effect, there is a chance the item will "break" (its graphic becomes a big red X and its Use Effect cannot be used anymore until repaired by a vendor for a price).
