The Fear Helm is a Helm found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It can be obtained by giving Dark Matter to Sunshine, which he will forge into one of 5 items determined at random. Being a Helm, it can be equipped by Isaac, Felix, Garet, and Piers.

The Fear Helm increases defense by 48 and attack by 10. It can be bought for 12800 coins and sold for 9600 coins. Like all equipment made from Dark Matter, the Fear Helm is cursed.

The Fear Helm is not likely to see much use, partly since it cannot be acquired until late in the game and partly due to the curse. If it is used, it should be given to an Adept who uses physical attacks often. Since it is cursed, it is best to give the Fear Helm to an Adept wearing the Cleric's Ring to minimize the effects of the curse. Also, it is advised to give the same Adept more cursed equipment to maximize the effectiveness of the Cleric's Ring.

If one has made a Warrior Adept a Dark Mage and intends to maximize their attack to improve that Adept's psynergy (particularly their Summon Dullahan psynergy) then a combination of the Darksword, Fear Helm, Riot Gloves, Xylion Armor and Cleric's Ring will be an effective choice for that adept since the Darksword's unleashes pale in comparison to Summon Dullahan.
