A Floating Hat is a Hat-class head armor found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is obtained by bringing a Sylph Feather forgeable item to Sunshine the blacksmith in Yallam, where he will randomly forge it into either that or several other items, and then buying it from him. As a Hat, it can be equipped by all Adepts. Its buy value is 5700 coins and its sell value is 4275.
The Floating Hat increases the wearer's base defense by 34, and it increases Jupiter resistance by 20 and multiplies the wearer's current Luck rating by 1.2. It is about as strong as defensive headwear can get before reaching Lemuria, but once that is reached the far superior Crown of Glory and Minerva Helm items can be won in multiples with your Lucky Medals, so ideally this should not remain on your party beyond that point.
