I have been playing Golden Sun for about seven years or something like that and I beat Golden Sun once when I was ten or something like that. When I beat it I could never find the password. I beat it again and I still couldn't find the password. I googled it and I found that you had to hold some buttons and try it. However I couldn't try that until I beat on an emulator last year and it didn't work at all. I beat it again on emulator BTW so it should have worked. I haven't tried the lost age yet because I want to do the password thing but why isn't it working?--[[User:BigCubby|BigCubby]] 13:27, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

:First of all, it will only work if you have a Clear Data file saved onto your first game's file select screen. Then, on the main menu where the Golden Sun logo's visible, that's where you would input the button combination: holding the R shoulder button and left on the D-pad simultaneously while pressing Start will cause the main menu to reappear with a new option, "Send", which provides you with a Clear Data file's data in password form or opens the game up for direct data transfer via Game Link Cable into The Lost Age. If you're playing on an emulator, you'd have to make sure you're pressing the right keys representing the GBA buttons; if your Z and X keys represent the L and R shoulder buttons, your four arrow keys represent your D-pad, and your Enter/Return key represents your Start button, for example, you'd hold down X and the left arrow while pressing Enter/Return, for example. Forums: Index > Watercooler > Question about passwords

Hello guys, this is my first post here but I am an administrator in the Dragon Quest Wiki and a lot of edits to the FF wiki. Good job on the story details BTW, anyway here is my issue. I haven't tried the lost age yet because I want to do the password thing but why isn't it working?--BigCubby 13:27, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

First of all, it will only work if you have a Clear Data file saved onto your first game's file select screen. Try reading Password and this site's quick spoiler-free walkthroughs for the first game and the second for more in-depth information. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 17:52, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
