Though not actually listed in the description, Golden Sun DOES have a separation of Staff weapons and Ankh weapons, noted by the difference in battle sprites for Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba. Since the game refers to both as Staves, I don't see a need to separate them in the equipment section, but I do think it be nice to have a page noting this and to have a list of which staves are actually counted as a Staff by the game, and which are counted as an Ankh.

- OH! Amazing! I never noticed that it looks like Ivan is equipped with his red stick in his official art when you equip something like Lachesis' Rule on him and that he looks like he's equipped with a gold circular staff when equipped with something like the Angelic Ankh.
- I believe an aesthetic detail like this is only worth noting in the content of List of Staffs, and certainly not put on its own page. It'd be cool if you could just put a list of which are staffs and ankhs here so I could properly integrate it into the normal list. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 06:25, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Regardless, though, we still need to compile a list of what's what. Unfortunately, due to my lovely mother kindly throwing out all my games when she 'helped' me move to my new apartment, I've only gotten as far as the Mogal Woods, so I really don't have a good way of figuring out what's what at the moment. Needless to say, she's not allowed to help me move anymore. However, once I finish my list, I'll be able to say which is which. Of course, if I had help form, say, someone who's transferred all the rare staves from GS1 to GS2, and thus is able to check each and every staff to see which is an Ankh and which is a Staff, that would be AWESOME.
