The Jester's Armlet is a Bracelet-class piece of armor found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Visually, the Jester's Armlet resembles an orange/brown bangle with several metallic protrusions out of it.

Basic Description by Game

The Jester's Armlet raises the wearer's base Defense by 39 points, and has the additional benefit of raising the wearer's Psynergy Point meter by 30 points. As an Artifact, it can be sold for 3825 coins and subsequently rebought for 5100 coins.

In The Lost Age, it is found in a treasure chest in a portion of Treasure Isle accessible after gaining the Grind Psynergy. As a Bracelet, it is only wearable by four Adepts: Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba. In Dark Dawn, it is found in a treasure chest in Burning Island Cave, which is accessible after gaining the Search Psynergy. It can be equipped by Karis, Rief, Amiti, and Himi.

Analysis

In The Lost Age, this seems like a good piece of handwear to equip on a magic-centric Adept at first glance, with a large boost to the PP rating. However, at the late point in the game it can be acquired, it is not that useful because the Adept's PP meters will be developed into the hundreds anyway. It is considered inferior to Leda's Bracelet, a bracelet that can be acquired earlier in Lemuria, because while Leda's Bracelet has 38 defense, it also increases Jupiter power by 30. The fact that Leda's Bracelet is worth 5800 coins while the Jester's Armlet is worth 5100 attests to this general viewpoint. At most, this should be used as a placeholder for a stronger item that magic-centered Adepts can equip on their hands/arms.

In Dark Dawn, the Jester's Armlet could see some situational use on Amiti, who has the lowest natural PP totals out of the mage-styled Adepts. However, the set growth is not very beneficial as time goes on, and the player may prefer to give him other items like the Spirit Armlet, which would raise his Mercury Power or the Mythril Armlet, which would raise his Critical Hit ratio and gives a stronger Defensive bonus. Thus, the Jester's Armlet is generally relegated to a placeholder for another piece of hand armor.
