Transferring data from GS1[]
I tried transferring via link cable, and waited like 15 minutes, and it didn't get past "preparing to send(/receive) data"... Anyone else have this problem, or better yet, know of a solution? NightChime 11:25, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I have never been able to succesfuly transfer data with the link cable, nor do I know of anybody who has. Though I'm sure somebody somewhere has done it with no problem. I know of no solution but to shut the game off and enter the Gold level password (which is a pain in the ass) sorry.Zabbeth 14:21, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- If you mean the link cable that connects two GBAs together, I've done that with no problem, and it only takes 20 seconds or so to do. I think it has to do with which end of the game link cable is connected to the GBA with the TLA cart, and maybe which order you have each game send/receive data...
- On a related note, I've heard about using the cable that links between a GBA and the GCN Game Boy Player to successfully transfer data between one game on the TV screen and the other game on the GBA. I was never successful in doing that myself, though, even though I tried several different ways... Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 17:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- That's what I tried, too. I can hardly think of why it would fail more than a "legit" GBA... So I wound up entering the super-long gold code. But I'm a little worried; I may not remember correctly but it looked like my characters had 2 Djinn each. But this might be because the code doesn't save where they're equipped to, so it evenly distributed them? And I'd like to confirm, the only advantage of a link over using the gold code is it remembers what's equipped? -NightChime 08:12, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
- When you use the gold password, yeah, the game briefly shows that your party's Djinn is randomly arranged so that everyone has 1-2 of each Djinni color. But don't worry about that, if you collected all 7 of each Djinn element, they're present in Isaac's party and will be ready to rearrange once the old party joins late in TLA. And that's right about how a password code does not handle how stuff is equipped and arranged, compared to a link cable procedure. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 08:24, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
