The Will Head, Death Head, and Willowisp are species of monsters found in Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. These monsters, resembling skulls cloaked in ethereal flames, are palette swaps of each other and have differing levels of power and defense.
Will Head
A Will Head is a member with a light green skull and a light blue flame. The Will Head features 54 HP, 42 Attack, 10 Defense, 10 Agility, and 1 Luck. It is very resistant to Mercury and is decreasingly resistant to Mars, Jupiter, and finally Venus.
The Will Head can physically attack and cast a monster skill called Mystic Flame, which damages a target for Mars damage and visually resembles a group of ghostly flames appearing around a target and converging on him/her.
Felling a Will Head yields 9 EXP, 10 coins, and in uncommon cases, a Smoke Bomb. In Golden Sun is fought in Goma Cave and Kolima Forest. In The Lost Age it is fought in the overworld region that is the lower portion of Indra (the region encompassing Madra).
Death Head
A Death Head is a member with a violet skull and a light green flame. The Death Head features 128 HP, 15 PP (the PP meter is new to the Death Head), 130 Attack, 31 Defense, 47 Agility, and 3 Luck. It is very resistant to Mercury and is decreasingly resistant to Mars, Jupiter, and finally Venus.
The Death Head can physically attack, cast the Slash Psynergy for Jupiter damage to multiple Adepts, and cast Impair to decrease a target Adept's Defense rating.
Felling a Death Head yields 55 EXP, 73 coins, and in somewhat uncommon cases, a Nut. In Golden Sun is fought in Mogall Forest and the overworld region that is the southeastern region of Angara (the region encompassing Mogall Forest's exit, Xian, Altin, and the entrance to Lamakan Desert). In The Lost Age it is fought in the Gabomba Statue, Gabomba Catacombs, and in the overworld region that is the lower portion of Gondowan (the region encompassing Kibombo and Naribwe).
Willowisp
A Willowisp is a member with a yellow skull and a purple flame. The Willowisp features 209 HP, 12 PP (3 PP less than the Death Head), 279 Attack, 87 Defense, 121 Agility, and 6 Luck. It is very resistant to Mercury and is decreasingly resistant to Mars, Jupiter, and finally Venus.
The Willowisp can physically attack, cast the Tundra Psynergy for Mercury damage to multiple Adepts, the Drain Psynergy to siphon a target's HP, cast the monster skill Haunting (not the Haunt psynergy, because its visual effect consists of a flurry of ghostly bluish skulls that float toward a target, even though its effect of causing Haunt is the same), and cast the Blue Bolt Psynergy for respectable Jupiter damage to multiple Adepts. Because of their PP meters, a Willowisp must either use the Blue Bolt once or use any of its other Psynergies multiple times in place of a Blue Bolt.
Felling a Willowisp yields 227 EXP, 160 coins, and in uncommon cases, a Nut (the Death Head is twice as likely to drop a Nut, ironically). It is fought in the Road to Babi Lighthouse, the Tunnel Ruins, and the later portion of Venus Lighthouse.
